With an area of 40,000 square meters, Augustusplatz on the eastern edge of the city center is one of the largest city squares in Germany and an important hub of the Leipzig tram network. Significant buildings of the trade fair city extend here. The Leipzig Monument to the Battle of the Nations is located in the Probstheida district.
