The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety award the Kia Cadenza the best rating of Good in every six crash test categories.

The Cadenza received the best rating of Superior for its standard vehicle-to-vehicle front crash prevention system, whilst the optional vehicle-to-pedestrian system earned the midtier rating of Advanced.
